Sassy Stanton :: “The Ranch & Farm Land Hunter”
Sassy Stanton is a native Texan born in Houston. Her father was in the oil business and her mother a pioneer in the residential real estate industry. This heritage instilled in her the initiative to be one of the first women hired at Coldwell Banker (now CBRE) in the early 70’s. Her perseverance, tenacity, creativity and determination led her to be one of their top producers in Texas and nationally, selling land and handling retail transactions.
After nearly 20 years at CBRE she was recruited by Grubb and Ellis, and then Insignia to head up their respective retail divisions. In 2002 Sassy and Bill Pinckard created Stanton Pinckard Realty.
Sassy has always been at the top of the real estate market because of her thorough knowledge and understanding of local and national markets, providing her clients with a clear insight into the current opportunities surrounding the real estate market (Texas Farms for Sale, Texas Horse Ranches, Texas Rand Land for Sale). She has frequently won awards (like the well known CCIM competition) forecasting real estate trends and has been quoted frequently and has written articles for periodicals including The Houston Chronicle, Houston Business Journal, Shopping Center Today, The Real Estate Center, (TAMU) and REDNews.
In 1966 she became a charter member of CREW Houston, a professional organization of women in Commercial Real Estate. Sassy was an Executive Board member for 20 years for the Edna Gladney Home and has held leadership positions in the Junior Women’s Forum, the Heritage Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, American Quarter Horse Association, Stock Horse of Texas Board, Houston Hunter and Jumper Show Board, Ladies of Texas Tradition, Rancher’s Ride, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a Life Time Committeeman on the Quarter Horse and Art committees, and as a Board member of the Board of the School of Music of the University of Houston, the Ron Stone Foundation, and the Washington on the Brazos State Park Association
About Bill: Bill Pinckard :: “The Ranch & Farm Land Hunter”
Bill Pinckard has twenty-five years of commercial banking experience, specializing in Texas real estate and construction lending and fourteen years experience in Texas commercial real estate appraisal. Additionally, Bill was President and Director of Houston National Bank, Riverway Bank and Greenway Bank and Trust. Bill has had management responsibilities for over 200 employees.
Bill is a sixth generation native Texan who has a deep appreciation for the values that inspired the founders of our country. He is a member of the Tejas Vaqueros, was selected as Trail Boss on the Rancher’s Ride, and has been a participant in the Valley Lodge Trail rides as part of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade driving a wagon with Belgian draft horses, sometimes four-up. Bill occasionally participates in Stock Horse of Texas events.
Bill is a Past Master of the Masons, member of Scottish and York Rites, past president of the Houston Kidney Foundation, Rotary Club and Sons of the Republic of Texas. He is a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Life Time Committeeman having served on the Special Childrens, Corral Club, Transportation, Donkey and Mule, Horse Sale, Directors Club, and the Grand Entry Committees.
In 1979 Bill planted a commercial pecan orchard and started a cow calf operation on his ranch in Wharton County, both of which are in operation today. He is also a General Partner of a family partnership which owns rural land and mineral interests throughout the state.
In 2002, Sassy and Bill combined their marketing and financial knowledge and experience of complicated and sophisticated negotiations related to commercial transactions. With their life style and love of the outdoors it was natural to see the pluses they could bring to marketing and representing rural land properties (Texas Horse Ranch, Texas Ranch Sales, Texas Farm and Ranches). They soon began to apply their commercial experience and knowledge to their rural land clients. “There is such a common sense approach to helping your rural land clients make choices by applying all the same requirements of commercial buyers.”
